Honeymoon Pool Trails

Honeymoon Pool is the beating heart of the Wambenger trail network and one of the most exciting destinations in the Ferguson Valley for mountain bikers. Sitting alongside the stunning Collie River, the trails here range from flowing cross-country singletrack to steep, technical descents that will challenge even experienced riders. Highlights include Breaker Breaker, Send It, G.A.O.T, and Cash Out — gravity-fed trails that reward every run.

 

Honeymoon Pool is easily accessible from the Pile Rd network — ride out from the top hut via the Goat Track and return via The Watcher for a brilliant trail-to-trail day out. For those wanting to skip the climb and hit the descents straight away, Adventure Connections runs a dedicated MTB shuttle service up River Road, dropping you at the top so you can focus on the riding. Perfect for gravity riders, club groups, and anyone wanting to make the most of their time on the hill.

From the bottom carpark at Honeymoon Pool, riders can also continue south along a section of the iconic Munda Biddi trail, connecting through to the Wellington Dam trail network via either Jabitj or Sika Trail — making it possible to string together an epic day across all three networks in the region.

For flatter trails here we recommend riding the river section of the Honeymoon is over trail 1.6km and then along the Lennard track in either direction or the Jabitj trail with both have great views of the Collie River rapids, picturesque still pools, with some short sharp ups + down hills.
